Micro Blading

Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps, or fill-in “over plucked brows,” .

Microblading uses a very small blade to deposit pigment under the skin, giving the appearance of hair. It can be used by those who want to toss their eyebrow pencil, or it can be used in more extreme cases such as for patients with hair loss. The procedure can cost anywhere from $500 to $1200 and takes about an hour and a half to two hours,
It is quite similar to hair stroke cosmetic tattoo using the machine method, however the strokes are finer, and are not implanted as deeply in the skin. Therefore, cosmetic tattoo brows completed using microblade or microstroke technique are not as permanent. They are really to be considered semi-permanent, lasting usually around 12 months before a retouch is required.

Before Care Instructions for Microblading

Do Not excercise the day of the procedure. Do Not tan or come with a sunburned face. Do Not take Aspirin, Niacin, Vitamin E or Ibuprofen 24 hours before procedure. Do Not consume Alcohol   on the day of the procedure. Do Not wax or tint eyebrows 3 days prior to the procedure. Please note that you will be more sensitive during your menustral cycle.
Aftercare Instructions for Microblading Procedures

It is very important that you follow these instructions carefully. Remember, all procedures must Heal, Peel and Fade. This process may take up to 10 days.

Do Not Pick or Scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off. Picking can cause scarring.  No water, cleansers, creams, makeup or any other products on the treated area for 10 days. Avoid direct sun exposure or tanning for 3 to 4 weeks after the procedure.  Avoid profusely heavy sweating for the first 10 days.  No Facials, Botox, chemical treatments and microdermabrasion for 4 weeks.  Avoid sleeping on your face for the first 10 days.  Avoid swimming, hot suana, jacuzzi for the first 10 days.  Avoid Spicy Foods for the first 7 days.  Avoid Smoking.   Avoid Driving in open air vehicles, such as boats, convertibles, bicycles and motorcycles during the first  7 Days.  Before showering apply a layer of post-care cream to protect your eyebrows from moisture. During the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead.

Itching and Flaking will appear the first seven days of post microblading procedures, however, experience has shown that by following these aftercare instructions, these symptons may quickly disappear.

It will take up to 14 to 30 days to for the wounds to completely heal. Touch-ups can not be given until the 30 to 60 days after the initial procedure.

What to expect after the procedure?

Your new microbladed eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle.

The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of the skin and has not settled in completely. The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab as this is excess pigment or bodily fluid that is naturally exiting your skin.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin. This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly. However, this is just superficial color and dry skin being removed from your eyebrows.

Once completely heal always apply a sunscreen of SPF 30 and up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade more quickly.

Difference between mink, silk and faux lash

While faux mink tends to be the most popular material for eyelash extensions these days, there actually several different kinds. It’s easy to get confused with all the “mink/faux mink talk”, throw in “silk” and you’re like…huh? Lets break down what the different types of extensions are and how they differ from each other.

Mink lashes–  Mink is 100% natural fur, it provides a natural shine, is super lightweight and flexible, gives a feathered look.

Faux Mink lashes—   Faux mink lashes are made in a factory somewhere from various polymers, plastics, fibers and chemicals and other products that are deemed by someone to be safe for eyeballs.

Silk lashes–  Silk lashes  are lighter than typical eyelash that are made of silk fiber allowing them to flex and tapper to perfection.

Threading

Eyebrow threading is an ancient hair-removal technique, practiced for centuries among the most beautiful women of Asia and the Middle East. It is the best alternative to waxing and tweezing, especially for sensitive skin. Unlike waxing, threading does not remove a layer of skin, which can leave the skin on your face susceptible to sun damage. By far the least invasive method of facial hair removal, this method creates a graceful brow with clean, well-defined edges that frame the eye.

Here at No Lashing Matter, a threading expert takes a thin cotton thread and twists it into a double strand, which then is swept along the skin. With rhythmic – almost hypnotic – movement, the unwanted hairs are secured in the thread and lifted from the follicle with precision and finesse.

Many of our customers agree that threading causes less discomfort than brow waxing. Because it targets individual hairs, threading keeps skin irritation to a minimum. Excessive pulling on delicate skin around the eyes is eliminated, and for those sensitive to waxing or depilatory products, there is no exposure to irritants.
A simple eyebrow threading can take just 5-7 minutes. The upper lip takes about 3 minutes; a full face thread takes about 15-20 minutes.

Depending on your hair type and area of the face, full re-growth can be anywhere from 2 to 6 weeks. Hair will start to grow back sparse and finer after repeated threading because hair is pulled out at the root, which gets weakened through this process. You can get re-threaded as soon hair grows just above the skin, whereas with waxing the hair needs to be at least 2/8” long before it can be removed again

No. Since hairs are being removed from the root they actually tend to grow back finer over time.
